Recipe: Posole Stew




Amount Ingredient
Tablespoon(s)  olive oil 
Pound(s)  ean pork or beef, cubed 
Medium  onions, diced 
Clove(s)  garlic, minced 
10    *green chiles, roasted, seeded and chopped 
2-3  Pound(s)  posole 
Quart(s)  water 
Teaspoon(s)  salt 
Teaspoon(s)  oregeno 
Teaspoon(s)  cumin 

    Directions:

    In a large pot heat the oil and add the meat. Brown the meat. Add the onions and garlic, continuing cooking for 5-7 minutes or until the onions are translucent. Add the chiles, posole, water and spices; stir and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for two hours. Add water as needed
