Recipe: Shiitake Buerre Rouge




Amount Ingredient
1/4  Cup(s)  chopped onion 
Tablespoon(s)  melted butter 
1/2  Teaspoon(s)  ground chili powder 
Teaspoon(s)  fresh minced garlic 
Teaspoon(s)  lemon juice 
1/2  Cup(s)  red wine 
Teaspoon(s)  sugar 
Tablespoon(s)  soy sauce 
1/2  Ounce(s)  *rehydrated shiitake mushrooms 

    Directions:

    In a skillet, saute the onions in the butter until translucent. Add the red wine to stop the cooking. Add the rest of the ingredients, except the shiitake, and stir for about one minute. Add the shiitake, cover with a tight-fitting lid and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve over grilled meat or vegetables, or over rice.
